DIY scissor case: simple pattern

An attractive and simple scissors storage case captivates with delicate decor, a colorful lining and a button closure with a hinged checkered loop.

The details of the plain scissors cover can be decorated with elegant embroidery or applique.

You will need:

• Pieces of plain linen and colored cotton;
• Decorative braid;
• Button;
• Scissors;
• Tailor's chalk;
• Needle and thread for sewing

Step 1

According to the size of the scissors for which you want to sew the cover, cut 4 identical parts - two from plain fabric and two from fabric with a pattern.

Step 2

Fold in pairs the details of the plain fabric and fabric with the pattern with the front sides to each other, combining the slices.

Step 3

Cut the strip from the braid and form a loop from it according to the size of the button.

Step 4

Insert a loop from the braid between the parts of the plain fabric and fabric with a pattern.

Step 5

Stitch upper slices. Iron the seams.

Step 6

Fold the parts with their faces to each other, chop and grind, leaving a small area for turning out open.

Step 7

Remove cover. Sew the open hole manually with a blind stitch.
