In our selection there are pencil cases made of fabric, felt, oilcloth, leather, with a zipper or folding into a roll, with or without lining, small or large - choose!

1. A fabric case with a lining with a zipper: a master class

Such a pencil case will fit not only pens with pencils, but also scissors with a square.

Check: are you ready for the start of the school year?

You will need:

- 2 types of fabric (for the outside and for lining);

- zipper 25 cm long or slightly larger;

- a pair of stationery clips;

- pins;

- scissors;

- iron;

- sewing machine and thread.

Work sequence:

1. Cut 2 pieces of each type of fabric, each measuring 25x16 cm.

2. Put one of the lining parts face up on the work surface. Place the zipper face up on top. Above - a detail from the main fabric with the wrong side up. Chip off pins, capturing all layers of fabric and a zipper braid, as shown in the photo.

3. Sew.

4. Lay the second part of the lining face up on the work surface. On top, place parts with partially sewn in zippers, as shown in the photo. Then - a part from the main fabric with the wrong side up. Pin two layers of fabric and a zipper tape between them.

5. Lay the line.

6. Flatten the parts and iron.

7. Stitch along the zipper.

8. Open the zipper. Fold and chip the parts as shown in the photo. Direct the lightning towards the lining, and allowances towards the main parts, and secure with clamps.

9. Sew around the perimeter, leaving a hole as shown in the photo above.

10. Cut corners, stepping a couple of millimeters from the seam.

11. Turn out the pencil case. To turn corners well, you can use a wand.

12. Sew on the remaining hole.

13. It remains to fill the lining inside - and you're done. At the end of the clasp, you can hang a label with a name.

2. A fabric pencil case with a lining and a fastener in front: a master class

Due to the reinforcement with non-woven and lightning in front, such a pencil case holds its shape well. Another plus is spaciousness. If you want a smaller pencil case, resize the parts and take a shorter zipper.

You will need:

- 2 types of fabric, the main one and for the lining (you can also use a shred of the third color to finish the zipper);

- glue one-sided non-woven;

- zipper 30 cm long or more;

- iron;

- water soluble glue (glue stick is suitable);

- scissors;

- sewing machine and thread.

Work sequence:

1. Cut out the details of the pencil case. We need 1 rectangle from the main fabric 30x35 cm in size, 1 the same rectangle from the lining fabric, 1 the same from non-woven fabric. Also - two rectangles 2.5x7.5 cm.

2. Glue the part from the main fabric with non-woven fabric.

3. Fold both small rectangles in half, as shown in the photo, inside out and secure the folds with an iron.

4. Open the zipper halfway. Glue the rectangles to the ends of the zipper as shown in the photo.

5. Route the folds of the rectangles as shown in the photo. Make stitches at the beginning and end of the line.

6. Now glue the rectangles, as shown in the photo, and cut the "tails" of the zipper on both sides.

7. Fold the details of the lining and the main fabric face to face and place a zipper between them, as shown in the photo. Chip with pins.

8. Lay the stitch back 0.5 cm from the edge.

9. Unscrew the parts as shown in the photo and secure with an iron.

10. Wrap the parts, forming a pencil case, fold as shown in the photo, and pin together with pins.

11. Lay the line, departing from the edge of 0.5 cm, and turn out the pencil case.

12. Stitch the seams.

13. Fold the pencil case so that about 2.5 cm remains from the zipper on top and secure the folds with an iron.

14. Lay the stitches on the sides, departing from the edge 1.5−2 cm, then trim the edges with scissors.

15. Turn the pencil case inside out, straighten the corners well. Lay the side stitches as shown in the photo.

16. It remains to turn out the pencil case and iron.

3. Pencil case with zipper from oilcloth: master class

Advantages of oilcloth: the pencil case is waterproof, and if the felt-tip pen or pen accidentally opens inside, they will not stain the contents of the briefcase or bag. Also, the bonus of this material is that it does not crumble and it is easy to work with it.

You will need:

- colored oilcloth;

- lightning (focus on the desired length of the pencil case);

- a manual needle;

- scissors;

- sewing machine and thread.

Work sequence:

1. Measure your zipper and cut 2 pieces of oilcloth. The length of each should be equal to the length of the zipper (for example, in this case - 20 cm), width - 10 cm.

2. Attach a zipper to one of the oilcloth parts, folding them as shown in the photo.

3. Stitch the zipper.

4. Do the same with the second half of the zipper and the second piece of oilcloth.

5. Fold the parts face in and stitch around the perimeter. Make stitches at the beginning and end of the line.

6. It remains only to turn out the pencil case.

5. A case from plastic bottles: a master class

Fast and convenient option.

You will need:

- 2 plastic bottles of the same diameter;

- breadboard knife or scissors;

- zipper;

- strong glue.

Work sequence:

1. Remove labels from bottles. Cut off the top from one bottle to make a long cylinder with a bottom. Cut the second bottle closer to the bottom to get a pencil case cover.

2. Connect the pencil case and the cover by gluing the zipper inside, as shown in the photo.

6. Foamiran pencil case: master class

Foamiran, aka foam, aka rubber paper - the material from which these pencil cases are made. It is lightweight, quite durable, easy to use. Sold in stationery stores and shops for creativity in sets of sheets. You can also make a similar pencil case from leather or felt.

You will need:

- foamiran;

- stickers for decor;

- scissors or breadboard knife;

- a tool for punching holes;

- thin lace or floss;

- Ruler and pencil.

Work sequence:

1. Draw on the foamiran the contours of the details of the future pencil case.

2. Punch holes at the edges and connect with a cord or floss. Fasten the cord or thread.

3. Decorate the pencil case with stickers. Figures can be cut from the same foamiran and glued.
