If you like to combine feminine silhouettes of the 40-60s with modern clothes, read this material and look at the page of our today's heroine.

About the page author

“I am Ebi, a retro-style linen designer, owner of a small business. My passion for sewing made this my hobby something more than a hobby,” says the heroine of our column today. Ebi lives in the UK, not far from Wales, as she herself happily relates, "in an inspirational home from the middle of the last century." Ebi was educated in the field of fashion design and in 2013 opened her own lingerie business. But her blog is not about business, but about sewing at home with her own hands. Ebi started talking about her sewing experience online in 2016: according to her, blogging encourages her to devote more time to sewing, while sewing, in turn, helps her psychologically feel better. So sewing as a therapy, an outlet and a hobby for Ebi also became a way to share her experiences with others and communicate with those who are also interested.

What is this page about

“Crafty Pinup is a retro and vintage sewing blog,” says Ebi. “My favorite years are the 1940s and 60s. At the same time, I try not to make my clothes too accentuated, and I don’t deny modern sewing methods and techniques .I like to sew on patterns of that time, no less I enjoy creating retro-styled things and combining them with modern models and patterns. "On Ebi's Instagram page, there are a lot of photos of the dresses she sewed, primarily feminine dresses in retro style, which she combines with quite modern things like jackets, sneakers, slip-ons or knitwear, by the way, our heroine also knits: a photo of the process and finished things is also on her page.
