A touching memory of a vacation - a small gecko will return you to the hot southern countries. This baby feels great while taking sun baths on the wall.

YOU WILL NEED: papier-mâché flour ● old newspaper ● galvanized wire mesh ● cardboard ● brown knitting wire with a diameter of 0.37 mm ● 2 black eyes of animals with a diameter of 8 mm ● white, golden yellow, red, ultramarine, light green and black acrylic paints ● blue pebbles for crafts with a diameter of 11 mm ● silky-gloss transparent varnish (weatherproof) ● tracing paper ● scissors for paper ● simple pencil ● ruler ● combi nippers ● scissors for wire ● 2 pieces of wire of 10 cm each with a diameter of 1.4 mm ● spatula grinding pad ● No. 6 hair brush ● sponge ● palette ● plastic container ● stick for stirring.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
1. The gecko motif from the motif sheet is increased to the appropriate size, transferred to cardboard and cut. From newsprint form the body and legs. At the same time, crumple the newspaper, form it and slightly twist at the joints with the paws. As for the size, you should focus on the template. Using a strong knitting wire, wrap the individual parts of the body tightly, while creating an even more thorough shape (Fig. 1).
2. Cut the wire mesh on the gecko figure so that it completely wraps around it. At the widest point, lay one edge of the grate on the other edge to a width of approx. 2 cm. Using a knitting wire, tightly entwine the whole figure, starting from the body (Fig. 2).

3. After the body is entwined with a wire lattice, attach paws to it. To do this, first tie each paw to the body
wire, and then wrap it with a wire mesh and for strength fix it with a knitting wire (Fig. 3).
4. After making the base, cover it with papier-mâché. First prepare the mass acc. manufacturer's instructions. Start applying mass from the back, distributing it evenly throughout the body. Place the mass with a spatula, carefully leveling. Apply the mass in several stages until the body is completely covered with the mass. In a still moist mass on the head, set the eyes. Before the next application of the mass, it is necessary to allow the previous layer to dry completely (this may take several days). If your gecko will sit on the wall, then attach a loop of thick wire to the wire mesh on the abdomen, which should be visible from under the paper pulp (Fig. 4).

5. After the mass has completely dried, if necessary, correct the figure and treat it with a grinding pad. At the end, paint the gecko with white acrylic paint, previously diluting it with water in a ratio of 1: 1 (Fig. 5).
6. After the white paint has dried, paint the figure according to photo or as you wish. Allow the paints to dry well. After that, cover the gecko with a clear, weather-resistant varnish. Then stick on the fig. A photo is a few pebbles (Fig. 6).
