Fancy pillow

Do you think these are two different fabrics? Not at all: folds in the form of a zebra skin are formed in a different way.

The secret is simple: folds are wrapped up first, and then painted.
Size: approx. 105 x 70 cm.
YOU WILL NEED Flax 2.30 m long, 140 cm wide (unbleached); natural color threads, 1 zipper 60 cm long; black textile paint, 1 wide brush; dense film; 1 suitable packing.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Flax cut across into two rectangles size. 140 x 115 cm. On both rectangles (= front and back of the pillow), lay the folds parallel to the edges. To do this, use an iron on each rectangle to iron the fold of the first fold at a distance of approx. 10 cm parallel to the edge and stitch to a width of 1.5 cm. Iron the folds in one direction and iron the fold of the next fold with an interval of 5 cm from the stitch line. Stitch the fold as the first, etc. The folds can vary in depth and in distance from each other. They can also be made not in a straight thread!
Thus, on each rectangle to perform 18−20 folds. On each rectangle, iron the folds in one direction. Lay out the details of the pillow flat on the table, lined with film, and fix it on the substrate with adhesive tape. Place a strip of film under the crease and paint the outside of the crease with black paint to the stitch line.The film strip should prevent the underside of the crease and fabric from staining under the crease. You may not work too accurately. Or do not paint with a solid black line.
Wait until the paint is completely dry, and only after that proceed with painting the next crease. Color all the folds in this way. Fix the paint as directed by the manufacturer.
Cut the front and back sides of the pillow to a size of 110 x 75 cm. Neaten around the sections. Fold both parts face-to-face and grind one long side at both ends to a width of 7 cm, allowances for seams 2.5 cm. Iron out allowances, sew in a zipper into the hole.
In the middle of the fold cushion with black paint, fix it with a line of stitch. In parallel, at a distance of 18 cm on both sides of the midline (lay the folds in folds on the opposite side so that the painted side lies below), fix the folds with lines (see photo). At a distance of 18 cm from these lines of lines, turn the folds so that the painted sides are on top and fix their position again with a line of stitching.
Open the zipper, fold the parts face to face, combining the sections, grind the sections, the width of the seam is 2.5 cm. The allowances at the corners are cut close to the line. To turn out a pillow and put a stuffing in it.
