Little-known facts about one of the most beloved fabrics.

It so happened that linen is associated with the simplest, coarsest fabric, which is only suitable for canvas trousers or baggy dresses. However, in reality, linen allows you to use the widest range of cuts - from simple-laconic to tricky-tangled, where it is far from easy to recognize this familiar fabric.
Flax is one of the most fastidious plants. For growth, he needs a humid climate, moderate heat and a hot sun. The environment is so important for him that even fabric obtained from flax grown in different regions will differ by touch. The exacting nature of this plant was determined by one of its titles, and, it should be noted, a very solid one - "northern silk".
Flax has long been considered a “Russian” fabric, because in Russia it can get some of the most favorable conditions for growth. That is why flax grown in other regions is sometimes valued higher - it is slightly different tactilely. Russia accounts for about 80% of the world's flax crops, while the rest of the countries account for only 20%.
A wide selection of rare European flax is presented in the online store of elite fabrics of Tissur. By the way, until June 30, a part of the collection of linen fabrics has a 30% discount!
