Oxford has always found a place on the fashion runways of the last twenty years, regardless of the season.

The restrained elegance of these shoes, reminiscent of "truncated" shoes, somehow immediately makes you think about the British style - expensive, but at the same time modest. And not in vain - the name speaks for itself.

Comfortable shoes

So, let’s decide: oxfords are closed lace-up shoes, and the vamp is sewn on top of the berets (the outer parts of the shoe), that is, the side parts are closed over the tongue and pulled together with a lace. They can be flat or on a small heel. Who is suitable for? Yes, perhaps, to everyone who appreciates comfort, because they are very convenient. As a rule, oxford shoes are made of matte or patent leather, suede, but they are also made of leatherette or textile. Oxfords are just as comfortable and popular as moccasins.

Story

Oxfords from balmoral boots “originated” (the name is given in honor of the Scottish royal castle of Balmoral). Gradually, the balmorals became lower (to the level of shoes) and gained tremendous popularity - especially at the University of Oxford, hence, of course, their new name.

What to wear?

These shoes are perfect for walking around the city and outside it, and for going to the office or on a date. Oxfords fit well into casual and sporty chic, organically combining with jeans, leggings, dresses, skirts and even classic trousers, just a little advice - in the latter version, the top should be feminine.

Looks and models that fit perfectly with oxfords:

Blouse with kimono sleeves and a fluffy knee-length skirt;
A long knitted cardigan with flying coquettes paired with skinny trousers;
Wide-legged marlin pants with an open top;
Dress with a low waist and embossed seams;
Dress in the style of boho;
Dress with a fitted bodice.
And let's not forget about the never-over-accessory selection. Clutches, large hobo bags, and rucksacks are good for oxfords; the palatines and cardigans, blouses and tops wonderfully harmonize with them, well, we’ll do a separate deep reverence for the white “men's” shirts, they are always win-win.
