Silhouette on paper

Or paper lace, carved paintings, art carving, silhouette carving - as soon as this type of art is not called.

But in my opinion, this is primarily a return to a fabulous childhood ...

Silhouette artists often experiment with color. Red, gold (most common in China and Japan), multi-colored silhouettes - they create just the same magical mosaic.

Someone likes black-and-white paintings (typical for Europe) - by the way, in 19th-century Russia, pretty young ladies decorated their albums with them.

Do you think you can’t create such a miracle? You are mistaken! Take a plain sheet of paper and just follow our detailed description ...

THIS IS DONE A TEMPLATE

STEP 1 Transfer a suitable motif onto transparent paper with thin lines with a soft pencil. Then turn over a sheet of paper with a motive ...

STEP 2 ... and shade the contours of the figures with a soft pencil (you can go beyond the contours!). Now turn over the sheet of transparent paper again and lay it with the shaded side on the cardboard. If now you again translate the contours with a pencil, then they will be printed on cardboard. The template is ready.

And so is a carved picture

STEP 1 Cut the motif with scissors first around the edges. Try to cut without stopping so that the edges are more even.

STEP 2 Use a scalpel to cut out the inner contours.Hold the scalpel at a right angle, if possible, and lead it from top to bottom. Hold the paper with your other hand. Cut on a special litter.

STEP 3 To make small holes, for example, for the eyes, use a knitting needle or similar suitable object. Gently tap on it with a hammer.
