Scrapbooking was very popular. One of the first serious scrapbookers was Mark Twain. In 1872, he even patented his "self-filling" album, an integral part of which were strips of glue on the pages to fix memorable details on them. Oddly enough, the process of pasting clippings and pictures was very annoying for the writer.Although this hobby brought him very good capital for those times.
With the advent of the first cameras, photos came to the pages of albums. Then scrapbooking experienced a lull. Passion for this hobby resumed at the end of the 20th century and quickly began to gain momentum around the world. Today, the popularity of scrapbooking is growing very actively. In this technique, not only photo albums are created. As before - it can be diaries, and notebooks for personal notes, and books for recipes, and much more that a creative person can come up with.
