You will need:
- shoes;
- ruler and pencil or marker;
- hole punch for the skin;
- strong leather lace;
- if you want to make brushes - threads for them;
- scissors.

Step 1
Try on shoes and roughly outline the space for the holes. After removing the shoes, outline the holes using a ruler and a pencil or marker. The holes should be at the same distance from the edge, at equal distances from each other, the holes on the two shoes should be located equally.

Pass the shoelaces through the holes.
Step 3
If desired, add brushes to the ends of the cords. The ends can be decorated with beads or tassels of leather, or tie knots, or leave the ends free. In the latter case, you can stock several pairs of leather laces or ribbons of different colors and easily change them, changing the appearance of the shoes.
